When beginning this typographic specimen I thoroughly researched Futura and became familiar with the way designers classify typography as a whole. My typographic specimen highlightes the history, weights, and sizes of Futura.
The first three contemporary typographic covers were created by using a classical approach to Swiss typography.
The last covers took inspiration from The TM Magazine monthly covers. I explored the relationship between positive and negative space and manipulated images that were taken of different organic materials.
